HIP's commitment to quality begins with our participating networks. Whether in private or group practice, our participating providers have met HIP's strict credentialing criteria. Our doctors and health centers are affiliated with some of the top New York City hospital systems and physician groups, giving HIP members the quality and care they deserve.

Our high standards have resulted in Commendable Accreditation by the National Committee for Quality Assurance(NCQA), the independent, non-governmental agency that monitors and evaluates managed care organizations. Only plans that meet or exceed NCQA's rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement receive this accreditation.

Expanding Provider Network
HIP continues to expand and improve its participating provider network. Our network of providers includes close to 22,000 providers in more than 33,000 locations throughout our service area and we're still growing. The result for your  employees? More choices and enhanced access to quality health care.

For example, HIP has formed alliances with some of New York City's top hospitals, like Montefiore Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital and Continuum Health Partners (Beth Israel Medical Center & St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center).

New Technology, Enhanced Customer Service
HIP is committed to providing service that meets your employees' needs.

• On-line Pharmacy Services. Through our partnership with Express Scripts ®, eligible HIP members can fill prescriptions online with a 50% reduction in copayment if allowed by your drug benefit.
• On-line Member Services. Our full-service Web site features ne interactive tools for faster access to information. Now, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, members can choose their Primary Care Physician (PCP), order ID cards, update personal information such as their address and/or phone number and much more. Plus, hipusa.com is now available in English, Korean, Spanish and Chinese.
• Toll-free Customer Service Line with 24-hour Interactive Voice Response. HIP's automated customer service line makes obtaining important   information easy. Anytime, day or night, members can call 1-800-HIP-TALK (1-800-447-8255) to verify their eligibility status or arrange for materials (such as a member ID Card or provider directory) to be sent to them. If personal assistance is required, HIP Customer Service Advocates are available Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm (EST).
